Resumo


In Argentina, since democracy returns, Peace Operations have played a dynamic role in foreign policy and defense. PMOs, however, are not the primary mission of Armed Forces, and have no direct link with it. PMOs gave a great gain in of foreign policy with a low cost, but leaving completely demand to keep Armed Forces trained in order its principal mission. We ask ourselves which has been the relevance that PMOs have in Argentinian foreign policy, and defense policy as well for the Argentinian democratic governments, from 1983 until nowadays.
